Yes, everyone knows they need a first dance song, but sometimes couples struggle when trying to find the perfect one. Believe it or not lots of couples don’t have “a song” or it’s often the case that a couples special song is not suitable for a first dance. For example, Bump and Grind by R Kelly. Picking a first dance song is very personal. It if can’t be a song that is special to you as a couple, it should be a song with meaningful lyrics that strike a chord with you as a couple. Here are my first dance song suggestions… Crazy Love by Van Morrison - It’s plain to see where Ed Sheeran drew inspiration from. Baby I’m Yours by Arctic Monkeys - Very different to other Arctic Monkey songs! Grow Old With Me by Tom Odell - The gentle start to this song will give your photographer enough time to get some great photos of you before everyone is invited to join you on the dance floor. You Can Never Tell by Chuck Berry - A fun song that everyone knows due to Pulp Fiction. Baby I Love You by The Ramones - A perfect first dance song! You Are the Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne - I often get people come over and ask for the name of this song when I play it. Everlasting Love by U2 - Quite up tempo. Great for those who are more confident on the dance floor! The Best Thing by Electric Youth - A really cool track. If you like the soundtracks to Drive and Stranger Things you’ll love this! It Must Be Love by Labi Siffre - The original of the more widely known Madness version. In My Life by The Beatles - Amazing lyrics by John Lennon! Songs to avoid for your first dance… You Can't Always Get What You Want by The Rolling Stones I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For by U2 Another One Bites the Dust by Queen Everyday I Love You Less and Less by Kaiser Chiefs It’s the End of the World as We Know It by R.E.M Comments are closed.
